Terms of use

download.fyi sends files from your browser to someone else's. A live link is free and works while your tab is open. A pass is a one-time payment that keeps one link working for a set number of days. There are no accounts and no subscriptions.

You're responsible for what you send. Don't use download.fyi for anything illegal, including malware, content that infringes someone else's rights, or child sexual abuse material. Don't try to guess other people's links, overload the service, or get around its limits.

Files are encrypted, so we can't see what you send. If we're told a kept link is being used for illegal content, we may disable it and delete its files.

Your files stay yours. We don't claim any rights to them. We only handle them, encrypted, to deliver them to the people you share the link with.

A 14-day pass costs $5 and covers up to 100 GB. A 30-day pass costs $9 and covers up to 500 GB. Stripe processes the payment, and the price is shown before you pay.

A pass covers one link. It starts when you pay and ends after the number of days you chose. It never renews. Keep your tab open until the upload finishes; if it doesn't finish, email us.

If a kept link didn't work as promised, email contact@download.fyi with your Stripe receipt and we'll refund you.

If you're a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. A pass starts as soon as you pay because you ask us to start right away, so if you withdraw we may keep a share of the price for the days already used. To withdraw, email us with your receipt.

We work to keep download.fyi running, but we can't promise it will always be available or that every transfer will finish. Live transfers depend on both browsers and networks staying connected. We may set limits to protect the service, such as how many codes one address can try.

The service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses or for lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

We may block access or disable a link if it's used against these terms or if the law requires it. If we disable a kept link through no fault of yours, we'll refund the pass.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes don't apply to a pass you've already bought.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
