Download.fyi uses peer-to-peer technology to connect you directly with recipients. When both parties are online, files transfer directly without routing through distant servers.

This eliminates the latency of traditional cloud services that upload to one data center and download from another. The result: faster transfers, especially for large files.

All transfers are encrypted end-to-end. Your files are encrypted on your device before transfer, and only the recipient can decrypt them.

For EU destinations, Download.fyi is designed with GDPR compliance in mind—no content access, configurable expiry, and transparent data handling.
