HEIC is the photo format iPhones and iPads use by default. It keeps photos small without losing quality, but plenty of apps and websites still can't open it.
Converting to JPG means you can:
- Share photos with anyone, on any device
- Upload them to sites that reject HEIC
- Edit them in apps that only open JPG
- Open them on Windows, Android or older computers
How it works
- Choose your HEIC photos or drop them onto the box. One or a hundred.
- Each photo is converted on your device, one after another.
- Save photos one by one, or all of them as a single zip.
Questions
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. They're converted by your browser on your device. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
- Will JPG look worse?
- JPGs are saved at high quality, so in most photos you won't see a difference. Choose PNG if you need a lossless copy; the files will be bigger.
- How many photos can I convert?
- As many as you like. There's no limit and no account.
- Can I stop my iPhone taking HEIC photos?
- Yes. Go to Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos will be JPGs; existing ones stay HEIC.
